When you think of Disneyland you immediately think of all the magical moments you could spend there, meeting Mickey Mouse, riding the carousal and watching the Parade. It fills your heart with an enormous amount of joy and happiness until you start pricing up the holiday of a lifetime and your bank balance drops you back down to earth with a heart shattering slap of reality.
It’s no secret that any Disneyland trip will literally cost you an arm and a leg and maybe even half your house if you’re not careful, but I’ll let you in on a little secret…it’s not as bad as it seems.
As a couple without children it obviously becomes instantly cheaper but some of my tips will still help the families with kids too if you do your research.
As much as I would love to stay in a proper Disney Hotel, it quite frankly isn’t worth it. When looking for a 4 night trip July 2015 I scoured the internet for hours up on hours trying to find the best deal, and for two adults you just won’t find it on the official Disneyland Paris website.
I did a lot of research into which were Disney hotels and which were partnered Hotels and found that the partnered hotels offered a lot more for your money and were only a short 5-10 minute free bus ride away.
I decided on staying at the Kyriad Hotel which is a partnered hotel and for £134 for four nights it was an absolute steal. My deal was found on www.travelrepublic.co.uk which is an incredible site for offers and cheap stays. My stay did not include breakfast or dinner but all facilities were there for those who had.
For the same package with a Disney hotel without food or tickets it was pricing at around £800-£1000 which is obviously too high for a weekend getaway.
For families it may be more cost effective to go with a package which includes meals, free park tickets and ‘kids stay free offers’. I recommend a lot of research into which package is the best for keeping costs down.
Your Disney holiday dream could soon be a reality!
