Wollaton Hall and deer park is just 3 miles from Nottingham city centre and is very quiet and scenic in comparison to the busy hustle and bustle of the city centre situated close by. On arriving to the park we noticed there was a food festive being held however it was £8 to enter this and we hadn’t budgeted this into our trip. It looked amazing though with lots of choice.
We walked up from the main entrance up to Wollaton Hall and had a look around. Entry was free but I can’t say I would have paid to enter though, as lovely as it was, it was just full of taxidermist animals which were a little bit on the creepy side.
After walking through for around 10 minutes we left and went around the back of the Hall to walk through the park and to the lake. Here we saw a lot of wildlife including ducks, heron and a lot of deer.
The gardens are beautiful and I wish we had longer to walk around to see more of it.
